Who invented  the flute?

The flute has been around for a very long time, but the first metal flute was made by Theobald  Boehm.

What  was it used for?

The flute is and  was used as a  musical  instrument.  This instrument with it's wonderful music  is still around.  Even though it is not the same as the first one, we still use it the same way.

                           When was the flute invented?
The flute didn't always look the way it does now, it used to be made out of wood. In 1830 the first modern flute was made.

                              Where was the flute created?

The first flute was made in Germany in 1830.

Why did they change the flute from wood to  metal?
The people were tired of it and it didn't last that long. So  Theobald  Boehm thought of a flute that could be metal and that is how it changed.

Did you know  the flute is one of the oldest woodwind instruments ?

The Indians also made flutes out of wood or bone.

I think the flute is the best invention ever because of its wonderful music.  If you play the flute it's easy to carry. That is why I think it's the best invention ever.
