Several of our horticulture enthusiasts embarked on a new adventure at the College of DuPage Floral Invite. As this was their first time participating in the contest, we went in with open minds and hopeful expectations. The students completed their knowledge and plant identification tests at school, which allowed them to fully enjoy the hands-on portion of the competition assembling corsages and floral arrangements without the added pressure of testing.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and hope to attend again next year. Chloe Wagner placed 10th individually, while the team Chloe Wagner, Madi Clark (18th place), Aubrey Chandler (19th place), Kailey Vaske, and Ella Musto earned an impressive 4th place overall finish.
